Besides causing legal and tax-related issues, it also creates unrealistic expectations for Limited Partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The issue lies in the fact that when calculated using a simple method, preferred and common stocks are equated, ignoring the value that the preferred stock gains in the form of options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, to achieve more accurate figures, it is better to use the <a href=\"https:\/\/eoninvestment.com\/ka\/2024\/10\/08\/random-expiration-call-options\/\">random expiration call options method.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, let\u2019s start by assuming an investment has been made, and assuming that in the case of healthy negotiations, the market price was paid: NPV Limited Partner = 0, meaning LP Valuation = LP Cost (at Breakeven Valuation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember that LP Cost represents the investment made by the Limited Partners, including management expenses. In other words, it depends not only on the specific project\u2019s results but also on the general performance of the fund\u2019s management, in which the limited liability partners hold shares. (A venture fund diversifies risks in this way).
